📝 Job Summary
Premiere Urgence Internationale (PUI) is recruiting a Medical Coordinator to lead the implementation of health strategies and ensure the delivery of high-quality healthcare programs in Borno State. This is a senior-level position that includes representation, strategy design, team supervision, and program integration across multiple sectors.
🧰 Key Responsibilities
✅ Design and implement PUI’s operational Health strategy
✅ Develop and oversee new Health interventions
✅ Ensure quality and effectiveness of all Health programs
✅ Represent PUI in sector coordination meetings and technical platforms
✅ Provide technical support to Health teams and project managers
✅ Supervise Deputy Medical Coordinator, Mission Pharmacist, and SRH Advisor
✅ Conduct public health monitoring and analysis
✅ Coordinate monthly technical review meetings and work plans
✅ Ensure compliance with safety and emergency procedures
✅ Promote integration between Health, Nutrition, WASH, and Food Security & Livelihood (FSL) activities
✅ Support health-related research and documentation of best practices
✅ Guide MOH facility staff on child, maternal, and newborn health practices
✅ Ensure clinical consultations follow MoH and international protocols

🔹 Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
🔹 Good communication and interpersonal skills
🔹 Ability to work independently and make sound judgments
🔹 Understanding of emergency protocols and public health systems
🔹 Knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and billing practices
🎓 Educational Qualifications
🎓 Required:
- Registered Medical Doctor (MBBS/BSc MBChB) from a recognized university OR
- Master’s Degree in Public Health (MPH), Health Management, or a related field
🎓 Added Advantage:
- Certifications in Project Management, Humanitarian Coordination, or Health Emergency Response
