Role’s Summary: 

To provide overall MHPSS interventions for beneficiaries in the project, integrating MHPSS into SRH, SGBV/GBV, malnutrition, and other health units.

Responsibilities:

- Integrate MHPSS into SRH, SGBV/GBV, malnutrition, and other health units

- Conduct case-by-case needs assessments for psychological disorders diagnosis

- Carry out evaluation of mental health needs of patients/beneficiaries

- Provide psychological support and psychotherapy sessions

- Refer cases to other health professionals whenever necessary

- Document progress on cases, maintaining confidentiality and consent

- Support capacity building for ALIMA teams and caregivers

- Facilitate trainings on psychological first aid (PFA)

- Strengthen community-based psychosocial support and peer support group activities

- Carry out tasks respecting key protection principles

- Support organizing events, such as World Mental Health Day

- Engage with health promoters, community mobilizers, and community leaders

- Prepare and conduct psychoeducation

- Submit monthly reports and data collection sheets

Skills Required:

- Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, and communication skills

- Ability to work on own initiative and adapt to changing needs

- Flexible, patient, and adaptable to a changing environment

- Ability to work under pressure with numerous deadlines

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in social work, mental health, psychology, or related fields
