Job Summary

The Communication & Advocacy Officer will develop and execute a communication strategy to enhance project visibility, promote community engagement, and influence decision-makers through advocacy efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement a communication and visibility plan to promote the project.

Ensure brand consistency across all project materials (print and digital).

Support the execution of an advocacy plan to influence policymakers.

Conduct research and develop evidence-based advocacy materials.

Engage with government officials, civil society organizations, and community leaders.

Organize and participate in advocacy events, including meetings, conferences, and campaigns.

Manage the project's social media and online presence.

Develop and disseminate press releases, media advisories, and promotional materials.

Monitor and analyze media coverage and social media engagement.

Provide regular reports on communication impact and visibility.

Collaborate with project staff to integrate communication into project implementation.

Stay updated on trends in communications and advocacy to enhance project efforts.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.

Skills:

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.

Ability to work independently and in a team.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in media relations and social media management.

High integrity, trustworthiness, and a customer-focused approach.
