Job Description

The Team Lead, Payment and Negotiations will be responsible for the overall coordination, management, and administration of trade credit lines, payments, and remittances. 

The role also involves enforcing regulatory compliance, overseeing trade loan bookings, and engaging with regulators and financial stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

✅Manage trade credit lines, documentary credit negotiations, and trade loan liquidation.

✅Ensure compliance with foreign exchange regulations, UCP, ISBP, and international trade finance standards.

✅Oversee assurance functions for Letters of Credit and related transactions.

✅Engage and maintain relationships with regulators, local and foreign counterparties, and financial institutions.

✅Supervise the booking and liquidation of trade loans, interest bookkeeping, and charge administration.

✅Handle revenue assurance functions for negotiated documentation and trade loans.

✅Oversee interest and charges collection and remittance.

✅Ensure daily and periodic reconciliation of Nostro, GL, Suspense, Receivables, and Payable accounts.

✅Prepare and submit regulatory, management, and ad-hoc reports.

✅Identify and manage operational risks, implementing mitigation measures.

✅Collaborate with FINCON and external auditors on financial matters.

✅Develop training and capacity-building programs for the team.

Job Requirements:

✅8-10 years of experience in Trade Functions.

✅First degree in any discipline.

✅Trade certifications such as CDCS, CSDG, CITF.

✅Master’s degree and other professional certifications (added advantage).
