Job Overview
As a Safeguarding Officer, you will be responsible for implementing Plan International’s safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people in its programs.
Key Responsibilities
Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate potential risks to children and young people.
Training & Capacity Building: Conduct safeguarding training for staff, volunteers, and partners.
Incident Management: Respond effectively to safeguarding concerns, ensuring proper reporting and follow-up.
Collaboration: Work with program teams to integrate safeguarding measures into project planning.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Child Development, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in safeguarding or child protection roles, preferably within NGOs or international organizations.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of child rights, safeguarding standards, and local child protection laws.
Excellent communication and training abilities.
Ability to assess and mitigate safeguarding risks effectively.
