📝 Role Summary

Provide technical support for gender and disability-inclusive programming in Kaduna State to ensure holistic education for all children—especially girls and children with disabilities.


🎯 Key Responsibilities

✅ Mainstream gender inclusion across educational initiatives
✅ Design gender- and disability-responsive strategies
✅ Lead capacity building for project and partner staff
✅ Address specific needs of girls, especially adolescents
✅ Ensure school facilities are gender-sensitive and disability-accessible
✅ Conduct gender analysis and safety audits regularly
✅ Collaborate on inclusive recruitment strategies
✅ Integrate inclusion components in training and IEC materials
✅ Support intersectionality analysis of gender and disability
✅ Build networks and attend gender working groups
✅ Advocate for removal of systemic and policy barriers
✅ Contribute to staff and partner technical capacity
✅ Stay updated on gender and GBV-related policies
✅ Support MEAL team with data collection and reporting


🧠 Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to identify gender/disability gaps
  • Experience in gender-transformative and disability-inclusive programming
  • Strong advocacy, communication, and advisory skills
  • Politically and culturally sensitive

🎓 Qualifications

🎓 MSc in Gender Studies, Human Rights, International Relations, or related fields
🧰 Minimum 8 years’ experience in gender mainstreaming in both development and humanitarian settings
