📝 Role Summary:

The Nutrition and Health Officer will manage the day-to-day implementation of health and nutrition projects in Yobe State. The role includes providing oversight, supervision of health facilities, and building the capacity of Ministry of Health (MoH) workers.

✅ Key Responsibilities:

• 🔄 Monthly update of 5W/4W mapping tools
• 📊 Assess and strengthen health workers’ capacity
• 💊 Ensure availability of essential nutrition and health supplies
• 🗃️ Monitor documentation quality
• 🗓️ Create monthly individual action plans
• 🧩 Facilitate quarterly review meetings/workshops
• 📝 Develop and implement monitoring and supervision plans
• 📈 Report specific monitoring findings with action points
• 🦠 Support MoH with disease surveillance reports
• 📋 Supervise data collection for nutrition/health assessments
• 🤝 Collaborate with Nutrition and Health Assistants for community support
• ⚙️ Ensure rational use of medical equipment and stationeries
• 🧾 Review financial, HR, and logistical needs
• 🕒 Validate daily and monthly staff attendance
• 👥 Coordinate with HR on performance reviews and meetings

🧠 Required Skills:

• Strong writing & reporting skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Fluent in English & Hausa
• Interpersonal & communication skills
• Team & staff management
• Monitoring & feedback provision
• Analytical & problem-solving abilities

🎓 Qualification:

• BSc in Nursing, Midwifery, Public Health, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in PHC programs
