🔍 Job Summary
FHI 360 is recruiting a Technical Officer (Health & Nutrition Services) to support the implementation of high-quality, integrated medical and nutrition services in Gamboru Ngala, Borno State. This role involves both technical and programmatic oversight at the LGA level.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- ⚕️ Provide daily technical and program support for facility-level nutrition and health services
- 📝 Document lessons learned and contribute to knowledge sharing
- 📊 Conduct assessments and provide field situation reports for informed programming
- 🧾 Strengthen M&E systems and reporting frameworks
- 📁 Draft strategies, work plans, and sub-project documents
- 📣 Advocate with stakeholders on CMAM and access to child health services
- 👨🏫 Train Community Health Workers (CHWs) on CMAM and IYCF
- 🤝 Represent FHI 360 at external meetings and technical forums
- 🗂️ Plan and supervise OTP, Stabilization Centre, and IYCF activities
✅ Required Skills
- Deep knowledge of health and nutrition in humanitarian contexts
- Strong clinical and training background
- Cultural sensitivity and ethical understanding of local communities
- Excellent team collaboration and communication skills
- Proficiency in English and Hausa (spoken and written)
🎓 Qualifications
- MBBS/MD/MPH with 3–5 years in program management & clinical care, or
- BSc Nursing/Health or related field with 5–7 years of relevant experience
- Familiarity with Nigerian public health systems, NGOs, and CBOs is highly desirable
