🧪 Main Objective
To plan, organize, and supervise laboratory activities and staff according to MSF protocols, supporting accurate diagnosis and medical care.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- ✅ Participate in project planning and lab budgeting.
- ✅ Ensure hygiene, safety, and bio-risk protocols are followed.
- ✅ Perform lab tests: serology, hematology, biochemistry, bacteriology, parasitology.
- ✅ Manage lab equipment, cleaning, and supply chain to prevent stock-outs.
- ✅ Maintain cold chain for reagents and samples.
- ✅ Supervise and train lab staff in collaboration with HR.
- ✅ Use lab management tools like EpyTryp and send samples for external quality checks.
- ✅ Report lab results, equipment issues, and staff performance updates.
🎓 Required Qualifications & Skills
📘 Education:
- Degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
💼 Experience:
- 2–4 years in lab work (minimum 1 year with an NGO).
🗣️ Languages:
- Proficient in English and Hausa (oral and written).
🖥️ Technical Skills:
- Basic computer knowledge: MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Leadership and management capabilities.
- Comfortable in multicultural and multidisciplinary environments.
