About Malaria Consortium

📌 Established in 2003, Malaria Consortium is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention, control, and treatment of malaria and other communicable diseases, especially in vulnerable populations.
📌 Currently partnering with the National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP), the organization is preparing to implement an ITN distribution campaign in Anambra State and supporting related M&E activities.

Job Title: Finance Assistant

📍 Location: Plateau, Nigeria
🕒 Schedule: Full-Time
📅 Deadline: 13th May 2025

Key Responsibilities

Finance (50%)

✅ Review all financial transactions for completeness and approval.
✅ Prepare payment schedules for SMC participants.
✅ Maintain and file vouchers, receipts, and financial records.
✅ Track and manage financial document stock.
✅ Liaise with Finance Officer for weekly updates and reports.

Supplier Invoices (15%)

✅ Track and verify all vendor invoices.
✅ Prepare invoice authorization forms and process payments.

Operations (30%)

✅ Archive, scan, and file all financial documents securely.
✅ Collect timesheets and manage document trackers.
✅ Ensure documentation flow between state and Abuja offices.

Other Duties (5%)

✅ Support audits and asset checks.
✅ Assist the Finance Officer and Manager as required.

Required Qualifications

Essential:

🎓 OND/HND or Bachelor's degree in Accounting
💼 At least 2 years experience in finance, including 1 year in Accounts Officer role
💻 Proficient in Microsoft Excel
✍️ Strong interpersonal and communication skills
🧠 Good analytical and reporting skills

Desirable:

✅ INGO experience is an added advantage
✅ Knowledge of donor financial reporting
✅ Familiarity with accounting software
✅ Traits: Trustworthy, stress-tolerant, self-motivated
