Role's Summary:
The National Migration Health Nurse Officer will provide clinical, administrative, and project management support for migration health assessments and treatment of refugees assisted by the Migration Health Assessment Centre (MHAC) Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities:
- 🏥 Coordinate Nursing Operations: Monitor and manage nursing operations within MHAC.
- 📋 Assist in Program Coordination: Coordinate technical and administrative activities within the Health Assessment Programme.
- ✅ Ensure Compliance: Support maintaining compliance with the technical requirements of resettlement countries.
- 🗂️ Support Program Implementation: Contribute to the planning, implementation, and monitoring of health assessment programs.
- 🧪 Manage Biological Samples: Ensure proper identification and handling of biological samples.
- 💉 Facilitate Vaccination Activities: Plan and coordinate vaccination activities for refugees.
- 📚 Health Education: Contribute to communicable disease prevention and health education initiatives.
- 🤝 Collaborate: Maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external partners.
- 👩🏫 Identify Training Needs: Address the training needs of Nurses and Auxiliary staff.
Required Skills:
- 🗣️ Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- 🧑⚕️ Nursing Expertise: Good knowledge of nursing principles, techniques, and procedures.
- 🔍 Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- 💻 Computer Literacy: Good level of computer literacy.
- 🧑💻 Specialized Software Knowledge: Knowledge of medical software (e.g., eMedical and Mimosa Web) is an advantage.
Education & Experience:
- 🎓 Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field from an accredited academic institution.
- 📖 Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with two years of relevant professional experience.
- 🏅 A valid license to practice nursing in the country of duty station (if applicable).
