🎓 Scholarship Overview

The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) invites applications from qualified Nigerians for the 2025/2026 Overseas Scholarship Scheme (MSc & PhD).
This fully funded scholarship covers:

• ✈️ Airfare
• 🏡 Accommodation
• 🏥 Health Insurance
• 🎓 Tuition Fees
• 💷 Living Allowances

Study Destinations:
United Kingdom, France, Germany, Malaysia, and Nigeria.

📢 New Updates for 2025/2026

For MSc Candidates

• Fully funded scholarships to the UK, Germany, France, and Malaysia

For PhD Candidates

• Fully funded scholarships to Germany, France, and Malaysia
• UK PhD is now offered only through Split-Site Program at:
  • Robert Gordon University
  • University of Strathclyde
  • University of Portsmouth
  • In collaboration with the PTDF College of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Kaduna

✅ Eligibility Criteria

For MSc Applicants

• Minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1) OR 2:2 with relevant experience
• Must have completed NYSC
• Be computer literate
• 5 O’Level credits (including English & Mathematics)
• Statement of Purpose (max 500 words)
• Must have a National Identity Number (NIN) (verification charges apply)

For PhD Applicants

• Must have completed NYSC
• Be computer literate
• 5 O’Level credits (including English & Mathematics)
• Minimum 2:2 in First Degree and a good Postgraduate Degree
• Submit a Research Proposal (max 5 pages)
• Lecturers must provide a letter from their Vice-Chancellor confirming no other scholarship
• Must have a verified NIN

1. Degree Certificate or Statement of Result
2. NYSC Discharge Certificate
3. WAEC/NECO/GCE Results (with PINs)
4. Passport Photograph
5. Local Government Identification
6. Master’s Certificate (for PhD applicants only)
7. Evidence of Professional Membership (optional but recommended)
