🩺 Main Objective

To implement Health Promotion/IEC (Information, Education, Communication) activities with patients and communities, improving their understanding of key medical issues and encouraging positive health behaviors.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• 📢 Community Awareness: Inform patients and the public about MSF and its services.
• 🏫 Health Education: Deliver sessions in schools, churches, and community centers based on medical priorities.
• 📝 Activity Assessment: Monitor the impact of health education and report findings.
• 🧭 Target Vulnerable Groups: Collect information to identify at-risk communities.
• ✍️ Reporting: Share challenges and progress with the HP Supervisor.
• 🧾 IEC Materials Development: Design, develop, and adapt culturally sensitive materials (esp. for SGBV prevention).
• 🤝 Stakeholder Engagement: Mobilize local leaders, youth groups, and women’s organizations.
• 🧠 Training Facilitation: Organize sessions on SGBV prevention, response, and referral mechanisms.
• ⚙️ Coordination: Work with medical teams and protection officers for a comprehensive approach.
• 🧼 Clean Work Environment: Maintain clean, tidy education/communication spaces.

🎓 Requirements

• Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Social Communication, Nursing Science, or Community Health Extension.

• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years in SGBV programming, health promotion, or community engagement (preferably in humanitarian/development settings).
  • Hands-on experience developing and implementing IEC strategies and materials.

• Languages:

  • English is essential.
  • Knowledge of local languages is highly desirable.

• Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong computer skills (Word & Excel).
  • Teamwork, flexibility, and a strong commitment to MSF principles.
