Position Overview
As Medical Supervisor, you will oversee the implementation and supervision of health services at MoH facilities (Gwange 1 and Gamboru Market Dispensary), provide technical support, ensure program compliance, and coordinate with stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities
Program Implementation
📌 Implement health programs in MoH clinics
📌 Follow grant guidelines and deadlines
📌 Collaborate on workplans and activity schedules
📌 Maintain budget compliance
📌 Support MoH staff with capacity building
📌 Monitor and improve service quality
📌 Ensure alignment with national health protocols
Facility Support
🏥 Provide support in:
- Infrastructure rehabilitation
- Provision of equipment, supplies, and drugs
📚 Training & Capacity Building:
- Develop and execute training plans
- Align training materials with national standards
- Monitor training budgets
👥 Community Engagement:
- Regular meetings with WDCs, CHIPS, community leaders
- Set up feedback mechanisms with MEAL, WDC, and Facility Manager
🤝 Coordination:
- Engage with UN, NGOs, and government partners in the region
Supervision & Quality Control
🔍 Monthly supervisions with technical teams and government reps
🔍 Develop action plans from supervision insights
🔍 Troubleshoot and escalate key issues to the Project Manager
Data Collection & Monitoring
📊 Implement data protocols with MEAL and MoH
📊 Track drug consumption and report irregularities
📊 Use supervision tools to identify and fix service gaps
Reporting & Documentation
📝 Weekly activity reports to PM
📝 Epidemiological and drug consumption reports
📝 Contribute to internal MdM meetings and data systems (Monitool)
Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications
✅ Medical Doctor with public health and management experience
✅ Strong background in facility supervision and project cycle management
✅ Experience in emergency response and health system strengthening
✅ Budget monitoring skills
✅ Proficient in analyzing epidemiological trends
✅ Able to coordinate with MoH and lead health interventions
