The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), founded in 2002 by President Bill Clinton and Ira Magaziner, is a global health organization committed to strengthening health systems and improving access to care in developing countries.


Position Overview

📌 CHAI is hiring a Program Analyst to support Primary Health Care (PHC) performance work in Kano State.
📌 The role involves working with government stakeholders to improve data use, service delivery, and resource mobilization.
📌 You will report to the Senior Program Manager and contribute to broader knowledge-sharing within CHAI.


Key Responsibilities

Redesign PHC Performance Management System
➤ Conduct gender-responsive assessments & workshops
➤ Develop integrated PHC frameworks

Technical Support to SPHCBs
➤ Support ISS supervisor selection & training
➤ Supervise bi-monthly PHC facility assessments

Behavioral Interventions & Data Use
➤ Drive improved decision-making through data
➤ Design and monitor knowledge-sharing strategies

Support Health Insurance Agencies
➤ Mobilize domestic resources for VPP programs
➤ Improve referral and claims processing at KSCHMA

Stock-Out Diagnostic & Solutions
➤ Assess drug stock-outs in BHCPF
➤ Analyze causes and propose solutions

SRH & Annual Operational Planning
➤ Improve Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH)
➤ Develop and monitor operational plans for PHCs

Communication & Knowledge Management
➤ Represent CHAI in donor calls and global summits
➤ Document lessons learned and share case studies

Stay Updated & Drive Innovation
➤ Track trends in PHC financing and service delivery
➤ Propose new ideas and lead learning within the team


Qualifications Required

🎓 Bachelor's in Medicine, Business, Economics, or related field
🎓 Master’s Degree is essential
📊 3–5 years of health program experience in LMICs
📝 Strong writing, analytical & presentation skills
💼 Experience with M&E, program ops, budgeting
🗣️ Fluent English & excellent communication skills
💻 Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
🤝 Strong team-building and coaching abilities
